Terminal Manager
Locations: New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec
Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility of all Nova Scotia operations.
- Ensure maximization of asset utilization.
- Develop systems and procedures to drive consistent improvement in the overall operations.
- Set and develop targets and goals to meet cost expectations.
- Coaching and developing operational staff to position division for growth.
- Lead process improvement and IMS initiatives in Dartmouth Terminal.
- Maximize revenue opportunities for Nova Scotia Operations.
- Professionally handle and manage any and all issues raised by Owner Operators and Drivers
- Coordinate with Customer Service on all commitments i.e. Volumes to meet and exceed the needs of our customers
- Work with Fleet Managers to plan, coordinate, confirm and dispatch all loads.
Education Requirements/Knowledge & Skills:
- 5 years direct transportation experience, preferably in bulk transportation
- Post secondary Business Management education would be an asset
- Computer Skills are essential (MS Office).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Exceptional organization, decision making and problem solving abilities
- Energy, enthusiasm and the ability to work within a team
- Supervisory experience would be considered an asset.
- Travel will be required.
