Safety Manager
Locations: New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec
Responsibilities:
- Ensure Safety Programs are meeting or exceeding targets, evaluating current programs and preparation of new safety programs.
- Understand and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
- Provide compliance training where required.
- Take lead on all accident and incident investigations.
- Review current training programs for effectiveness.
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of preventative measures and safety training programs.
- Ensure training plans are met.
- Ensure communications of incidents, trends and actions are timely.
- Actively involved in all aspects of compliance-policies, procedures, legislation, Hours of service, occupational health and safety.
- Other duties as required
Education Requirements/Knowledge & Skills:
- Post secondary education or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of five years direct transportation experience.
- Strong communication skills
- Must enjoy a fast pace
- Must be proficient with MS Office
